The clinic is cozy, comfortable, and aims to have a small, consistent and cohesive staff providing personalized care and treatment plans for each of our patients.
Dr. Dana’s childhood dream was to work in a tiny veterinary hospital providing individualized care to pets and their families. She hopes to be able to make her patients and their pet parents feel as comfortable as possible. Dr. Dana has 25 years of medical and surgical experience. She loves the relationship that she has built with her clients over the years practicing medicine and surgery in nearby West Greenwich, RI. She plans to work at Southern Rhode Island Animal Hospital until she is too old to do it anymore or until she dies, whichever comes first.
Dr. Dana especially loves old dogs and cats. She excels in managing complicated cases and complex endocrine diseases. She wants all pets to have a high quality of life and live to old age looking and feeling their best, both mentally and physically.
Together with her staff, she has designed a hospital with a separate cat entrance, where pets can be comfortable and remain with their owners for most procedures. Owners can remain with their pets until they are ready to go under anesthesia if surgery is needed. The tiny hospital has an open design where pet parents can see into the treatment area.
All of our staff use gentle handling, treats, extra TLC and fear free techniques to help put patients and clients at ease. We strive to be the best veterinary care team we can be!
