Paula was born and raised in Cumberland, RI where she began her career as a veterinary technician at the age of 17. She spent many years in the field prior to pursuing a career as an Animal Control Officer for the town of Cumberland. After 5 years as an animal control officer, Paula decided it was time to return to school. She obtained her degree in medical assisting from Katherine Gibbs and was employed for 10 years at a pediatrician’s office. Following this, her love of animals once again called her back to the field, where she met and worked alongside Dr. Dana at West Greenwich Animal Hospital for the last 18 years.
Paula lives in Foster with her husband and their son on a 10-acre horse farm that together, they designed and built. In Paula’s free time she enjoys riding her two horses, Calleigh and Shaklano, competing in dog agility with her Australian Shepard Flash and Border Collie Ruckus, but mostly spending time with her family and friends.
